The BCRP leverages the most common electronic health record (EHR) platforms used across the United States – Epic and Cerner PowerChart – allowing residents to gain rapid exposure to different environments (more information on the future of EHRs below). Using our easy VPN, documentation and chart review can be done just as easily at home as in the hospital, so you can always check up on your favorite patients or prepare for a busy clinic. And with a newly redesigned application, the Boston Children’s Clinical Pathways provide instant access to the best guidelines for pediatric care and are used in all our clinical locations.

DINHO Squad

In 2022, the DINHO Squad (Digital Innovation Network for House Officers) was founded by a group of passionate pediatric residents focused on developing innovative solutions to barriers impacting patient care. With a focus on technology, the group has kickstarted a program-wide effort to reduce documentation time (shared 400+ dot phrases and counting), assists with hospital development projects like discharge optimization or a NICU discharge app for new families, and makes resident research easier. We have two publications this year alone, with multiple projects planned for future years! We are always excited to meet residents passionate about improving care and we would be excited to work with you!
